Preventative CT Scans
Direct-to-Patient Radiology Services
A CT scan, or computed tomography scan, is a diagnostic imaging technique that uses a combination of X-rays and advanced computer technologies to provide detailed images of the inside of the body. Unlike an X-ray that only shows bones, a CT scan can show soft tissues within the body, including organs, muscles, fat, and blood vessels.
Private ~ Affordable ~ Comprehensive
HealthCoreMD near-site facility partnerships with radiology clinics in major cities in the United States to provide quality preventative care services for our members. Our partner clinics offer the latest generation CT/CAT scanning technology, full-written radiology reports, and personal review. An annual “health baseline of every major organ” provides the most effective “first alert” to identify cancers, tumors, coronary artery disease, heart valve calcification, and internal organ diseases. Enabling your doctor to provide a quick diagnosis, and tailor an effective treatment plan – potentially avoiding the normal delays, denials, and red-tape of the health insurance approval process.
Virtual CT-Colonoscopy
The virtual CT-Colonoscopy provides millimeter-scale cross-sectional images of 100% of the colon, detects polyps "inside" and "outside" the colon wall, is noninvasive, does not require sedation, and is completed within 20 minutes. CT-colonoscopy is more effective in finding smaller precancerous and cancerous polyps, and examines the ascending colon, in contrast to the traditional colonoscopy.
Traditional colonoscopies fail to reach the ascending colon(ceci) 10-15% of the time, and is an invasive procedure lasting over an hour and requires sedation. Risks include colon perforation, where toxins flood the body causing infection in the abdomen and can spread to the entire body (sepsis).
